IndiGo

The Indiana County Transit Authority has provided safe, reliable transportation for Indiana County since 1979. IndiGo offers Fixed Route Buses and a Shared Ride Program, including to our Plumville and Bolivar Medical Centers. Visit their website or call 724-465-2140 for more information.

Citizens' Ambulance Service Transport Services

Aside from providing emergency life-saving services, Citizens' has a separate division responsible for non-emergency medical transports. Not only does CAS utilize ambulances for non-emergency transfers, but CAS also possesses a fleet of nine wheelchair vans and four walk-on vans that offer transportation solutions for: medical and dental appointments (both to and from), hospital discharges, and various other non-emergency medical situations

Open Door Crisis Services

The Open Door offers crisis intervention services 24 hours, seven days a week including holidays for individuals in Armstrong and Indiana Counties experiencing a crisis situation. Telephone, text, and mobile crisis services are offered 24 hours a day.

To access telephone, mobile, and walk-in crisis services, call 1-877-333-2470. A telephone crisis worker will answer your call and assist you. The telephone crisis worker will talk with you and offer supportive listening to help to identify solutions as well as make referrals to other services when appropriate. At times it may be appropriate to suggest that you come into the crisis office to talk with someone. It may also be suggested that a crisis worker meet you at your home or in the community to assist you.

Pennsylvania Medicaid

Pennsylvania Medicaid is a federal and state-funded program providing health coverage for people who meet certain eligibility standards. Medicaid acts as an insurance company for individuals and pays for medically necessary services.

HealthChoices is Pennsylvania's Medical Assistance (Medicaid) program. In HealthChoices, you choose a primary care provider (PCP) and health plan for each family member. Your PCP is your doctor or other provider who gives you most of your regular health care. A health plan is a group of doctors, hospitals, clinics and other health care providers. They work together to meet your health care needs.

You must meet income, resources (in some cases), and other eligibility requirements in order to be eligible for Medical Assistance. Apply to find out if you are eligible.

Aging Services, Inc, is committed to crafting individualized care plans that prioritize your unique needs and goals. Whether you're seeking assistance for yourself or a family member, Aging Service's dedicated team is there to guide you through the process and provide the support you deserve. ICCAP

Indiana County Community Action Program (ICCAP) is an organized private, non-profit corporation that has been fighting the war on poverty for over 56 years. ICCAP has demonstrated a sustained commitment to mobilizing the necessary resources needed to empower families and individuals towards self-sufficiency.

ICCAP offers three food programs tailored to benefit the Indiana County Community based on specific needs. There are numerous food pantries, the PA Senior Food Box Program which is a nutrition specific food assistance program, and emergency food assistance.

ICCAP has established housing programs for those in need of assistance. Programs range from emergency mortgage assistance, to emergency shelter for families or individuals without a place to sleep, and more. We also offer Rental Assistance for those who are homeless or nearly homeless with financial assistance.

Veterans Affairs

The Indiana County Department of Veterans Affairs is a committed team of trusted advisors who provide Veterans and their dependents direct assistance to identify, determine eligibility and assist in the preparation of applications for county, state and federal Veterans benefits and programs. Due to the high volume of clients, it is preferred that you contact the office at 724-465-3815 to schedule an appointment to receive our individualized attention.

Alice Paul House

The Mission of Alice Paul House is to educate, advocate, and empower all victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, other crime and juvenile offenders. Alice Paul House offers direct services to clients at no cost. These services include; individual and group empowerment counseling, victim advocacy and accompaniment in the medical and legal realms. Alice Paul House offers emergency shelter to victims and their children, 18 years of age and younger. Shelter is provided for victims fleeing a situation that would cause imminent danger. Alice Paul House has a 24-hour hotline at 724-349-4444.
